Get to know your music ministry program. Whether you are looking to cantor or to play along, there are a myriad of opportunities:

Our groups perform at their individual Masses (Choir, 9:30am; Folk group, 4:45; mixed group, 11:30) but also come together for holidays and special occasions.

There are opportunities for instrumental and vocal solos, or come to harmonize and share your gift of song.  We also work with the children's choir, hand bell choir, and liturgical dancers for holidays and special occasions.

Children's Choir
The Children's Choir performs
the second Sunday of the month during the  9:30am Mass and at family Masses and other special masses throughout the year.  Rehearsals take place for two Thursday evenings before the performance.

Life Teen Music Ministry

What is the Life Teen Music Ministry?

The Life Teen Music Ministry provides the music for all Life Teen Masses held Sunday evenings at 6PM.  Life Teen Mass is a Mass that is for all ages, but is particularly geared to our youth.  The music for this Mass is uplifting, contemporary Christian song selections that often have a “rock/pop” sound to make church music a great experience for our teens and youth. 

Who are the current members?

At the present time, the St. Joseph’s Life Teen Music Ministry is directed by Andrea Bierwirth.  We have a combination of talented adults and teens who play piano, guitar (lead guitar – Andrea McGahan, electric and acoustic guitar – Meghan Doyle, Thomas Pepitone and Matt Mahler), violin (Janina Pescinski, percussion (Vinnie Pepitone), bass guitar (Kevin Zobre and Thomas Pepitone).  Vocalists are Andrea Bierwirth, Katie Beam, Janina Pescinski, Tim McGahan, Renee Mikorski and Mike Hollinshead.

Life Teen Music Ministry is always looking for talented musicians (teens 9^th grade and above as well as adults) including instrumentalists and vocalists who can read music and who have the ability to sight read.  All instruments are welcome.    Auditions are held for new members.  Please contact Andrea Bierwirth at andreab0610@gmail.com or 609-439-7851 if you are interested in auditioning.  Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:45 PM and Masses are Sundays at 6PM.  The Life Teen Music Ministry is a year-round ministry.
