Purpose: Through basketball, to provide opportunities for the boys and girls of St. Joseph’s Parish in grades 1-12 to participate in activities to develop and exemplify Christian values through the sport of basketball. 

Time Commitment for Volunteers: In Season (September to March): 2-3 hours per month for Board members; 4+ hours per week for coaches (one practice per week @1.5-2 hours and one game per week @1.5-2.5 hours) Off-Season: 1-2 hours per month for Board members 

Qualifications: Diocesan Mandatory Requirements for Coach, including Rutgers SAFETY Certification, as well as 3 National Federation online courses at NFHSLEARN.com, Online and FREE:

• Sportsmanship;

• Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment;

• Concussion in Sport; and additional requirement below
