St. Josephs’ THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE 2023
We are requesting your help in providing 120 Thanksgiving Food Bags.
Donate one (1) filled bag per family.
Bring to our St. Joseph’s Memorial Hallway before Mass or during work hours (or place in the gray van used for the food bank if the office is closed) in the parking lot.
Dates of acceptance: 11/4//2023 through 11/12/2023.
Each bag is to be filled with the groceries we have listed below.
Please purchase the following then fill the bag:
Please purchase the following items and fill the bag with the following items for one family of four.
$1 reusable grocery bag
One large box of instant potatoes or rice
3-4 canned vegetables: Green Beans, Yams, Spinach, Lima Beans, Carrots, Corn, and Peas
2 boxes or jars of Gravy
1 can Glory Fried Apples or applesauce
1 can Cranberry Sauce
1 box Stuffing Mix
1 Cake or Brownie Mix
1 bag of Candies
Beverages: Juices, Hot Chocolate, Tea or Coffee
Please consider adding a $10 or $25 local grocery store Gift Card
Place your grocery store card in an envelope and staple it to the inside top of the reusable bag
Please put your bag in the Memorial Hallway or van and label “Thanksgiving”.
The grocery store gift card will be used for meat, pie, fresh vegetables, rolls, or other family needs.
We are not accepting any frozen or fresh items this year such as turkeys, other meats, potatoes, vegetables, bread, rolls or pies.
We will be helping families through Catholic Charities in Bridgewater and Flemington, the Arc of Somerset, St. Peter’s University Hospital Family Center on Howes Lane and many more!
